Sweet Moment (featuring a cute unicorn!)

Happy Thursday! I’m back with another layout to share, this time using the October 2017 Clique Kit called Girl Tribe. This kit features Shimelle’s Glitter Girl collection and was the perfect kit to create a fun and whimsical unicorn layout.

I started by finding a cute unicorn image online and turning it into a cut file in my Cricut. I am going to be creating a blog post soon showing how I created the cut file from an online image so be on the lookout for that soon.

Once the image was cut out, I backed each open section with patterned paper from the kit and hand stitched to provide some texture and interest to the unicorn. I added a yellow bow from my stash to her mane as the finishing touch.

The Glitter Girl collection also features a lot of speech bubbles so to play off of that I created a handful and made a couple of them into shaker speech bubbles. The sequins were a mix from my stash as well.

To finish the layout, I created a border of flowers along the bottom of the page that were fussy cut from a paper in the kit. The flowers have stars and rainbows added in and sequins as any unicorn galloping through a field of flowers is going to kick up sequins of course!
